Prepare for your globally recognised certificate in English

This exam is internationally recognised by both educational institutions and employers and is a valuable asset to the student when applying for a position in an institute or in business.  Students who successfully complete the Cambridge English B2 First (FCE) Exam Preparation course and FCE exam will have a very good grasp of the four macro skills and solid knowledge of grammar and vocabulary. Students who pass this exam might consider embarking on the Discover English Cambridge English: Advanced Exam Preparation course.

Cambridge Options

Our Cambridge Options option allows students to enter FCE preparation classes four times a year within the 10 to 12 weeks intake. This is a good option for students who have not achieved their required test result in the past, and need a brief refresher course prior to re-sitting the examination.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The minimum entry level for FCE Exam Preparation is IELTS Band 5.5 or PTE Academic Score 42.

March 16 – June 5 (12 weeks), Exam – June 9

June 9 – August 28 (12 weeks), Exam – August 27

September 7 – November 27 (12 weeks), Exam – December 1

Activities

The monthly activities calendar offers an exciting array of activities 7 days a week including: Salsa dancing, winery tours, weekend camping trips and sporting or cultural events.

Assessment

All students undertake a partial mock exam at the beginning and end of the course and a full mock exam at the half way point.

Extras

Five hours a week of free extra classes are available to all students. Extra classes include: Pronunciation, TOEIC, Academic English, Vocabulary and Conversation.

Cambridge Club

Get to know all your fellow Cambridge students in the Cambridge study group. A room is permanently allocated for study group or self-study needs.

Supervised Self-access

A teacher is in the library in supervised self-access periods to assist students with homework, resumes and questions from class.

Weekly Feedback

Teachers provide students with weekly feedback on their progress in one-to-one meetings and advise on how to improve in areas of weakness and build on current strengths.
